Jourdan Tymkow | soft logic library
Artists' Books Room
November 14 - 29, 2017
'soft logic library' is an immersive bibliographic installation displaying the research of Jourdan Tymkow's long term 'soft logic' projects that will culminate into a written project. 'soft logic' is a research and material practice questioning the possibilities for alternative clothing practices on both individual and systemic levels. The installation will feature videos, books, interviews, and artifacts that feature feminist speculative theorists and biologists, poets and activists, fashion scholars and academics, musicians and artists. What possibilities do clothing inventions have to disrupt the fashion system, and consequently, social systems?
Closed for Thanksgiving
The Library will be closed on Monday, October 9, for Thanksgiving.

Human activities have affected all aspects of planetary life, provoking a dangerous rate of damage to our environment. Warming ocean temperatures, deforestation, plastic contamination in the food chain and ground-water contamination are just a few of the pressing ecological issues facing our current generation. In exploring different facets of environmental change, I question our relationship with other living species.
