GSML-510

GSML 510: Graduate Internship

The internship/work-based learning experience can be situated at Emily Carr or on-site for an employer: this could be a gallery, design studio, museum, production company, etc. The work is generally an industry-driven project and should relate to the student’s thesis. Students will have the opportunity to combine academic learning with practical experience in variable settings. Students have the option to do an independent project, which is developed on a case-by-case basis with the Manager of Research + Industry Liaison and approved by the Dean of Graduate Studies. It is generally accepted that the internship/work-based learning experience will be relevant to the students’ academic or artistic objectives and interests.
