This app focuses consists of the Traditional Chinese Medicine aspects of regular foods but gives direction and understanding to people who are new to the subject. It allows on to follow through with daily health plan based on tongue reading and existing conditions.
By breaking the myths of Chinese Traditional Medicine, it could potentially demystify the bias' of different healing methods.

CanGuide Application Design

Canguide was developed while on Exchange at the HfG Scwäbisch Gmünd, with input from a number of Cancer survivors. It has a variety of features which allow patients to track information and manage tasks that are essential to their health, but are not directly part of their medical care. This includes tracking of pain severity and length, times and kinds of medication taken, tracking emotional state through a diary feature and managing the preparation of appropriate meals through the recipe feature.

Research on psychological and biological studies shows that adapting a healthy eating habit can help improve an individual’s emotional well-being. That means, having healthy eating habit can actually make people happier in their everyday life. There's a design opportunity to increase awareness of healthy eating benefits and to help maintain healthy eating habit, so that people know what to eat, how to eat, and where to eat. Next time when you are munching on some fries, ask yourself that if the fries can make you life happier, or it is just a temporary craving satifaction that might ruin your health.

The Mobile Web Field Kit is David Aitkens fall semester design thesis project. The research of this project identified a need for a system to design and develop better mobile website design. This kit encourages users to work in social groups creating rapid paper prototypes to develop user friendly web design. The kit contains a field guide explaining the design process used for creating mobile websites while the exercise cards include a step by step process for creating paper prototypes. The large black boards organize and present the four stages involved in the process.
