Branding Vancouver

description

Branding Vancouver is a project that involved creating a brand image based on a conceptual theme. The approach taken emphasized diversity, energy, culture, and the westcoast experience -- qualities that epitomize Vancouver.

A versatile brand was established by creating a logo with 4 different states of formalness -- it could be used on an array of applications from formal documents to festival posters.

Moby Mobile Redesign

description

For this project, I rebranded and designed the Moby mobile application to create a great mobile user experience . Moby is a private location-sharing app for the people who matter most to you created by GPS and location-based services applications expert Contigo. This project focused on notes from initial stakeholder that created this and research about current app and user behaviours of location tracking device. With various personas, scenarios, userflows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups along the process, I created illustrations in a different art direction for the user interface that also introduced new concepts (i.e. scheduler) for Moby Mobile.

Iugo Bracelet

description

A concept gadget based on the idea of fusing the human senses together into a portable and wearable form.

Wood veneer was chosen as an alternative material for the wrist band as a natural contrast to the mass-produced electronics today. Several interfaces were designed to visualize sound and allow the sense of touch to control them with ease. A storyboard for a television advertisement was also created for the bracelet. In the ad, friends are shown reuniting in the city after having not seen each other for a long time. Since the idea of connecting was an important part of the project, the name “IUGO” (meaning to connect in Latin) was chosen as the name for the bracelet. A group project with Vince Lo, Eunji Choi, and Cynthia Chang.
