We were given the task of creating a poster based on a collection of objects for my Complex Typography class. I chose a collection of crystals, which is a word derived from the Greek term Krustallos. The project required documentation of your objects (I chose to photograph), the inclusion of a diagram and a label component.

Carte Blanche is an illustrated book aimed to inform the general public about the blind and visually impaired abilities. The intent is to reach to the general public, schools, businesses, community groups, and potential employers and to help the sighted gain understanding on the limitless possibilities of the blind and visually impaired.
Carte Blanche features true stories of the challenges and struggles visually impaired people face, and how they can be overcome.

This project explores the role of decoration in typography. Specifically, it addresses the relationship of spirituality with printed type. In this case a religious text known as a haggadah is presented to an audience unfamiliar with its story and context. The content is isolated into its most basic elements and presented in a highly ornate fashion following the traditions of Art Nouveau and Illuminated manuscripts.
Folk Tale: The Love Story of Gyunu and Jiknyo

This project was to create a book inspired by folk tales in any region. I was inspired by Korean folk tale which is a love story of Gyunu and Jiknyo. The types and layouts on each page are reflected by the story-line(content) and emotions of characters. It was challenging to use types only when design an expressive story book, but it was a very exciting and creative experience at the same time.

Eat you Heart Out is a poem by Charles Bukowski. This project is a compilation of typographical investigations on illegibility. While it is almost impossible to read it in the booklet, the sleeve/poster relieves the information when unfold.

Type Specimen is a booklet of three typefaces; Nobel, Didot and Janson featuring their era, history and variations.
