Anim 410 Senior Animation (Fall) and

Anim 420 Senior Animation II [Spring]

The finished work will be fully animated, with sync sound, and screened in the Grad Show Film Video and Animation Screenings as either an answer print or broadcast quality video.

HUMN 312 Storytelling and Script Development for Animation

This course explores the unifying principles for animated film, that which gives animated work cohesion and the power to communicate. We approach the study of animation as an artform, as "child of many artforms". Students experiment with many storytelling approaches while making five leica reels (aka animatics). The focus is on the principles of effective storytelling for animators. The goal is to enhance the telling of the students' own stories.

Anim 321 Advanced Animation II (Spring)

This goal of this course is preparation for graduation year. Students explore media, ideas, developing a project suitable for grad year, allowing the time and opportunity to struggle with an idea through many stages. This work done in this semester may or may not result in a finished animated short, but students will create a show reel of new research.
