Architecture, Earliest to 1867

Oldest Examples and Early Dwellings/Buildings Across Canada

Canada's oldest known home is a cave in Yukon occupied not 12,000 years ago like the U.S. sites, but at least 20,000 years ago.

The illustrations and publications by C. W. Jeffries are among the most significant contributions to the history of Canadian Design and Craft.

His work documented early examples of architecture and other artefacts created in many regions across Canada.
