(colour theory + wheel studies) Diptych-collaboration between 2 students - 3 weeks Due Feb 16, 2012 Students will share resources & research and work together and create 2 paintings that are exhibited as one artwork. Students will study color theory by mixing key colours and analyzing paint application methods of their favorite painter. They will examine basic colour schemes and chromatic colour values (tone saturation and hue). At the same time, they will learn oil painting techniques and apply the knowledge to make a collaborative diptych consisting of two paintings, which combine methods & techniques of a (chosen) author & style.
