Figure Drawing (CEDR 205)

Expand observational and sketching skills in this immersive figure drawing course. Using diverse drawing materials and tools in both skeletal and live model sessions, students will learn to draft human anatomical structure through shape, texture, volume, and proportion. Students will practice different technical methods, such as gesture or contour drawing, to convey form and emotion of various poses. Traditional and contemporary applications of figure drawing, such as conveying concept through poses and compositions, will be explored.

Instructional Hours: 24 (8 classes, 3 hours per class)

Additional Hours: up to 24 hours for independent study and practice, assignment completion and homework.
