The Constructed Image (CEPH 221)
The photographic image, once considered a record of the real, has become increasingly manipulated and edited offering challenging new narratives and creative expressions. This course explores the history of manipulated images and photographic collages, from early analogue techniques to contemporary digital processes. Create unique photo-based images using digital manipulation, collage, drawing and painting to create a new visual experience. Learn advanced Adobe Photoshop tools and techniques to make work that is cleverly constructed and conceptually compelling. This course does not involve darkroom techniques. Basic knowledge of computers required.

Instructional Hours: 24 hours (8 classes, 3 hours per class)

- CSSO 100 Introductory Adobe Photoshop (formerly CECS 110 Introductory Adobe Photoshop) is required
