Artist Statements, CV + Portfolio Development (CEPD 202)

This project-based workshop guides students through the process of creating the most essential components of a contemporary and professional artist practice: artist statement, CV, and portfolio. Students will explore and draft artist statements styles for various contexts and purposes as well as examine how to best document and promote skills, qualifications, and experience in an artist’s CV. Lastly, students will learn tips and tricks for developing, selecting, and documenting art pieces for a compelling portfolio.

Instructional Hours: 12 hours (4 classes, 3 hours per class)

Additional Hours: up to 12 hours for independent study and practice, assignment completion and homework.
