Creative Entrepreneurship (CEPD 400)
This course introduces new, early career and established creative practitioners to entrepreneurial opportunities and perspectives. Reflecting on your career background, educational history, and creative disciplines, you will be guided to make entrepreneurial connections between your practices, interests and goals. Through storytelling, research, group discussion, writing prompts, and creative inquiry-based exercises, this course encourages discovery and synthesis toward a clarity of contemporary opportunities. From a cross-disciplinary perspective and with support from an established creative professional, self-directed projects help to establish professional intentions for the future of your creative career. Projects may take the form of a presentation, proposal, prototype, or short essay, and are intended to jumpstart a transition between careers, or begin a new creative or collaborative chapter.
NOTE: CEPD 400 is a hybrid course -- local and remote students are welcome to register.
