|Discovery Layer||General Search on the main page search bar:|

|Database Authentication||ECU library users: When prompted through the catalogue or databases, login using ECU email username and password. If there is an access issue, ECU students/staff/faculty should contact IT; |

Users have to choose the option to “Sign in with OpenAthens” - NOT search for our institution

|Print Journals||Journals tab on the main page search box,|
|Holds/Renewals/Requests||Log into 'Your Account' (button on the top of all library web pages) to place or see your holds and all items on loan to you. Log in using the same username as your ECU email, and the password defaults to the last 4 digits of your phone number (unless you changed it). If you forgot your password, you can request a new one from the account log in page. |
|Recalls||A recall will be placed on an item if it's checked out and another patron places a hold on it. The patron with the item has 2 weeks to return it without being fined. |
|Fines||The library has eliminated most overdue fines on books and media. Late fines still apply for materials acquired through Interlibrary Loan. Please renew and return items responsibly.|

|Book Drop/Returning books||You can return library materials to the book drop outside the library on the 2nd floor of the university when the library is closed. There is also a book drop on the right-hand side of the service desk when the library is open.|
Equipment + Facilities
|Internet Access||Public computers are available in the library for student use.|
|Wireless Access||Students should use their ECU credentials to log in to the ECUAD-Student Wifi|
Staff and Faculty should use their ECU credentials to log in to the ECUAD Wifi
Guests can request access to the ECUAD-Guest Wifi, or find a poster with the login details
How to connect to campus wifi
|Scanners||The library has document and book scanners, as well as large format flatbed scanners. The printers are also able to scan and send directly to email.|
2 printers on the main level of the library (level 2). Both printers are combined colour and b & w. They can also scan documents to email.
Print jobs can be sent from anywhere on campus, or from personal laptops (see IT website for more information about installing a print driver on personal computers)
Use your ECU OneCard at all Self-Serve printers on campus. Money can be added to your account at the library service desk, or financial services.
In addition, the Digital Output Centre (DOC) can be contacted to discuss and arrange printing and other services.
|Meeting/Study Rooms||Students can book study rooms here:|
4 group study rooms are located on first floor of the library (1 large study room & 3 small study rooms).
