Your donation in June can mean $20,000 to support students in need!
The Great Canadian Giving Challenge is back and they’ve doubled this year’s prize to $20,000. In June, every donation to Emily Carr University through Canada Helps gives us a chance to win $20,000 to continue to support students in need through the Emily Cares Student Emergency program.
Many of our students have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to facing financial uncertainty and food insecurity, they are also experiencing stress related to the pandemic.
Launched in 2018, the Emily Cares program has provided emergency funding, including COVID-19 relief bursaries, to many of our students.
But the fund is nearly depleted.
Imagine the impact we can make on students lives with an additional $20,000!
More Emily Cares funding means more support for students who have been impacted by this situation and those who may face life’s other challenges. It also provides a safeguard for the 2020 fall cohort - and future cohorts – who will need support through this fund.
You have the opportunity to make a bigger contribution to students than you ever imagined through the Great Canadian Giving Challenge.
In June, please make a donation and let students know you care. Your support can literally change the course of a student’s life.
