Library Materials

Contactless Pick-Up

ECU students, staff and faculty are able to pick up holds from the library through contactless pick-up. Any items you would like to borrow must be put on hold through our library catalogue. When they are ready for you to pick up you will receive an email and you can come to the main doors during pick-up hours.
Pick-up hours are as follows:
Monday + Thursday: 10am - 2pm
Wednesday: 12:30 - 4:30pm
Location: Library

You will need to follow university COVID-19 safety protocols while on campus.

All items taken out from the library are checked out for the entire semester. If another person requests an item you have out, you will be notified by email and if it is safe/possible for you to return it, that would be appreciated. Overdue fines will not be charged.

Mailing Items
For staff, faculty and registered students who are unable to come to campus we may be able to mail items to you. Please email with your requests.

As of March 1st, 2021, browsing appointments will be available for current faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students. These appointments are 45 minutes in length and are available:
Monday 10am - 2pm
Wednesday 12:30 - 4:30pm
Thursday 10am - 2pm

Book through the Writing Centre + Learning Commons booking system.

Library Materials Checked Out

Students, staff and faculty can return library materials during campus open hours through the book return in the hallway outside the library.

You will not be charged fines for items currently marked as overdue or lost.

Replacement fees for any items marked as lost will be waived once the materials are returned.

Interlibrary Loan

We will still be fulfilling Interlibrary Loan requests. This service depends on other institutions having staff available to supply the resources, so it may take longer than usual.

Printing + Scanning

KIC scanning and printing is available on a first come first serve basis in the library during open hours. At this time we can only accommodate one person at a time. Appointments can also be booked through
