FNDT 109: Visual Art 2D

This course introduces students to the basic visual grammar and methodologies of two-dimensional art. In weekly exercises students explore fundamental elements such as point, line, plane, volume, shape, texture, pattern, tone, hierarchy, contrast, narrative, colour, and composition. Through visual presentations, group discussion, and critiques, students will analyze the use of these elements and principles contextualized in social, historical and contemporary frameworks.
