ECU's annual Convocation ceremony was held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts.

A processional led by drummers Jay Percival and Carla George and Mace Bearer Kajola Morewood
A celebratory greeting from the Honourable Anne Kang, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Training
The presentation of an Honorary Degree to Canadian film icon and documentarian Alanis Obomsawin
The presentation of the Emily Award to Michelle Fu and Brian McBay, co-founders of 221A, a Vancouver-based cultural space and artistic research organization
Remarks by undergraduate student speaker Parnian Anaa
