Our Convocation Planning Committee would like to congratulate each of you as you complete your education journey at Emily Carr.

Please read all the information below for important details on the Convocation Ceremony.

The Convocation Ceremony

This year's ceremony will be in person and will take place at the UBC Chan Centre for the Performing Arts on Wednesday May 11, 2022.

The graduation ceremony will begin at 1:30pm. We ask students to show up no later than 45 minutes before the ceremony begins.

We will be using NameCoach to ensure your preferred name is spelled and pronounced correctly at the ceremony.

You will have the opportunity to input your name as you want it read. There will be a verification process before the ceremony to ensure that it is correct.

You will also be able to submit a photo of yourself and a photo of your artwork. These will be featured as you cross the stage at the ceremony.

    Visit the Grad Help Desk

    The Grad Help Desk provides refreshments, support and information about the Emily Carr University Alumni Association (ECUAA) during the installation of the grad show.

    Graduating students can also pick up their ECUAA welcome gift as they move from student to alumni.

    Students who are unable to stop by during the installation dates will have an opportunity to pick up their ECUAA welcome gift the week following convocation. Information about these dates and times will be sent to email addresses.

    Visit us May 3-6 from 11 AM to 1 PM each day near Reception, adjacent to the MOEC.

    The Grad Help Desk is supported by Alumni Relations and the Emily Carr University Alumni Association (ECUAA).
