Explore new passions and pathways with Summer Institute for Teens
Summer Institute for Teens (SIT) is an immersive month-long art and design program that provides unique, hands-on learning experiences to young creatives. Each course is developed by Emily Carr Univesrity's team of expert educators and creative practitioners, carefully curated to cater to a range of learning styles.
Connect to your imagination and intellect in new, impactful ways. This is a safe space to ask big questions that will evolve your practice, whether painting, illustration, animation or game development. You’ll be exposed to new perspectives, mediums and methods that will challenge conventional ways of thinking and broaden your creative horizons.
Whether you’re new to art and design or are fast-tracking to your dream art school, you’ll be immersed in a vibrant learning environment where your thoughts and ideas are valued and taken seriously. The program culminates with a public exhibition and celebration of your work in Emily Carr’s Michael O’Brian Exhibition Commons.
This program is for students ages 16-18, or who have completed Grade 10 by July 1, 2025
