Faculty + Alumni Honoured at the 2012 Leo Awards

The Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation of British Columbia is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to celebrate and promote the achievements of the British Columbia film and television industry through the presentation of an annual awards program – the Leo Awards.

We're exteremely proud to announce the following alumni and faculty recipients:

  • Jonny Ostrem (Animation '10) - Best Visual Effects in a Short Drama for The Tron Lebowski
  • Sitji Chou (Animation, '11) - Best Student Production for Peter & the Space Between
  • Marv Newland + Kunal Sen (Animation, '08) - Best Direction in an Animation Program or Series  for CMYK (produced by Associate Professor Martin Rose, Animation)
  • Associate Professor Dennis Burke, Film/Video + Integrated Media, and alum Raphael Choi, (Film/Video + Integrated Media, '08) - Best Sound Editing in a Documentary Program or Series -  for 40 Days at Base Camp
