Please join us for the launch of Neil Wedman's Selected Monochromatic Paintings and Works on Paper at Equinox Gallery. The launch is presented in conjunction with the opening of Pages, an exhibition of monochromatic works by Neil Wedman.

Selected Monochromatic Paintings and Works on Paper takes its name from two exhibitions, Part One, which was shown at the Equinox Gallery (2012) and Part Two, which was presented at Emily Carr's Charles H. Scott Gallery (2013). The book focuses on work not only from these exhibitions, but also includes texts and images from Wedman’s wider practice.

Selected Monochromatic Paintings and Works on Paper is published by the Emily Carr University Press and the Charles H. Scott Gallery in collaboration with the Equinox Gallery. Edited by Kathy Slade and designed by Julian Gosper, the book contains essays by Associate Professor Patrik Andersson, Kate Noble, and Brady Cranfield.

Neil Wedman is a Vancouver-based artist with a 35-year studio practice that includes painting, drawing, and multi-media works. He has exhibited extensively across Canada and his works are held in the collections of the Vancouver Art Gallery, Microsoft, and Surrey Art Gallery, among others. Wedman teaches at both Emily Carr University and Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, where he lives.

The exhibition Pages will run through Saturday February 25, 2017.

The ECU Press and Charles H. Scott Gallery gratefully acknowledges the generous support of Dr. Yosef Wosk, Jane Irwin and Ross Hill.
