Men's Battles - Pierre Leichner

Pierre Leichner (07) has a solo exhibition at Le Centre culturel francophone de Vancouver, October 4 – November 23, 2007. With the show Men’s Battles, the artist invites us to explore the perpetual aggression of men and he questions the relations between sexual behaviour and territorial wars. Playing on paradox, irony and the viewer’s surprise, his photographs are at one and the same time beautiful and intelligent, and express – not without a certain violence – the continuity that persists in the bellicose desire for change.
