Janice Toulouse Chartrand + Nadia Myre: Izhizkawe

Janice Toulouse Chartrand (79) and Nadia Myre (97) are both Emily Carr alumni as well as Concordia University alumni. Janice Chartrand will be honoured at Concordia's Faculty of Fine Arts Gallery as the first Aboriginal Fine Arts Graduate in the history of the university.
Concordia University presents an exhibition of new and iconic works by Aboriginal Alumni in the exhibit Izhizkawe. The title Izhizkawe (making a path in the Algonquin language) alludes to the tracks left behind by each individual graduate, creating a path for those who have followed.
