Submission Deadline:
Monday, December 7, 2009 at 4:00pm

Emily Carr students enrolled in a credit program (minimum 12 credits) and Emily Carr alumni who graduated between 2006-2009 are invited to submit one piece or one series of pieces of finished, two-dimensional artwork(s) for consideration for the IDEA Art Award. A jury of respected art professionals will select the winning piece(s), which will become a part of the VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation Healing Art Committee's permanent collection and be displayed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) corridor at Vancouver General Hospital.

The purpose of the IDEA Art Award is to encourage Emily Carr's emerging artists' creativity, community involvement, and engagement; and to use art to neutralize negative perceptions of hospitals by creating a welcoming and caring atmosphere for patients, patients' families, and hospital staff.

Submissions to the IDEA Competition need to have a completed Submission Agreement.
