AHIS 201: Global Perspectives in Art
This course examines indigenous cultures of Asia and the Americas both ancient and contemporary by challenging and expanding the student's conceptions of artistic production beyond European definitions. Curriculum provides students with a greater understanding of the impact of colonial contact on indigenous cultures and their struggle for cultural survival in the Imperial world.
