CGIA 309: 3D Character Animation

This course is a detailed study of the expressive human figure in motion. Through a series of short assignments, students learn techniques for animating biped figures and progress toward dynamic, complex movement. Emphasis is placed on proper mechanical body function as the underpinnings of expressive movement. Students design and develop the personality and resulting movement signature of a single character.
