FNDT 150 S001: Painting: Colour + Materials
This course introduces fundamental colour theory and its application for painting. Instruction includes the preparation of painting surfaces, exploration of materials and methods, and an understanding of the discipline in relation to contemporary and historical practice.

Janet Wang is a visual artist working in traditional drawing and painting media, such as oils and egg tempera, integrated with sculptural installations and textiles.
She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia and her Master of Studio Practice from the University of Leeds in England. Her work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States, and the UK, and Janet has been awarded residencies from the Site Gallery and the Arts Council of England as well as the Visual Arts Development Award by the Vancouver Foundation.
