GSML 524: Illus Adv Studio III

Illustration Advanced Studio classes aim to span the studio and professional aspirations of the participants. This class allows the students to self-initiate projects that demonstrate a mastery of visual and conceptual possibilities. Through this experience, participants create work that validates personal fine art goals while retaining a strong contextual grounding in illustration. The structure of the Advanced Studio course is determined by the faculty, in collaboration with students, at the beginning of the semester and may include presentations by the instructor, assigned projects, reviews and critiques of student work in progress, presentations and critiques by visiting artists, designers, curators and/or scholars, and class trips or off-campus interactions.
