NMSA 320: Special Topics Nmsa Practices

This studio course offers students the opportunity to develop projects that respond to emerging trends in digital media and electronic art practices. Using a practice-based research model, this course provides time and space for sustained engagement with a specific media topic. Historical, theoretical and technical approaches frame the topic and encourage students to position their practice in relation to broader discourses in media arts. Students are introduced to a variety of artists and example pieces and learn to discuss current media practices in both critical and generative ways.

Complete 51 credits, including 6 from NMSA or SOUN
