SOUN 310: Sound Projects

This project-oriented course offers the opportunity for students to develop larger sound-based projects and collaborations. Students are encouraged to develop a personal voice in relationship to their practice. This course offers the opportunity for self-motivated students to undertake an independent project that either focuses on sound as a stand-alone medium or incorporates sound as a principle element in another work. This course may be taken as a stand-alone studio projects course or linked to another advanced level studio course where sound is a primary element. Students are required to submit a detailed project proposal, participate in classroom seminars, undertake relevant research and meet with the instructor on a regular basis. Students from all areas of the university are encouraged to use this course to more deeply explore sound components within their work.
