Associate Professor Peg Campbell's film Your Mother Should Know was selected to screen as part of the 25th Anniversary Retrospective Film Festival held this past January.

"Peg Campbell’s deeply personal narrative explores the hopes and fears in mother-daughter relationships. Using archival family footage and current interviews, Campbell weaves an evocative tapestry of three generations of women."

Assistant Professor Lorelei Pepi, is the recipient of a Creative Capital award for her interactive installation project proposal, Vigil. This work will engage with people and Emily Carr University resources, such as the S3D Centre.

Creative Capital is pleased to announce its 2015 awardees in the categories of Moving Image and Visual Arts, representing a total of 46 funded projects selected from a nationwide pool of more than 3,700 proposals.

Assistant Professor, Animation, Lorelei Pepi, has recently released her newest animation film, Happy & Gay.

To date, the film has received the Juror's Best Animation Award at Image+Nation Film Festival of Montreal (Canada), Les Gai CineMad Film Festival of Madrid (Spain), and at the Atlanta Out On Film Festival in Georgia (US), which also delivered the Audience Award for Animation.

The film debuted at the Ottawa International Animation Festival in September, and is currently screening internationally.

Alexander Farah's "Sahar" Wins Three Awards at VSFF

Congratulations to Alexander Farah ('14) for winning three awards at the Vancouver Short Film Festival held from November 14 to 16, 2014, for his film Sahar. Alexander took home Best Director, and the William E. White Best Student Film Award, in addition to a Best Male Actor award for Behtash Fazlali (who plays lead role Nadim).

Breanna Cheek Takes Home Best Animated Short at Edmonton International Film Festival

The Edmonton International Film Festival has awarded 2014 graduate Breanna Cheek the Jury Award for Best Animated Short Film for her graduation film, Fallow.
