Fire! Art! Fundraiser! for ECU's Carrie Walker and Sonja Hebert

description

A few weeks ago, friends and colleagues held a Fire Art Fundraiser at the TAG for Carrie Walker and Sonja Hebert, who along with more than 20 other artists, lost their Broadway studio space to a fire over the Christmas break. Thanks to Shauna Kaendo’s lovely Stella, who donated time out of her regular dog-lounging schedule to lounge there extra good for these drawings (8.5 X 11 inches, ink on rag paper). Good luck to Carrie and Sonja.

Navigating the Uncertainty Principle - selected drawings 2006 - 2009

description

In a series of drawings, maps and paintings I investigate a language with which to speak of the complexity of our time. The scientific reference of the project title is woven throughout the work where the lens of science is used to view the resonating effects of daily existence and the poetics of scientific theories are explored through the lens of the everyday.
