Emily Carr: Alumni Reunion in New York
An alumni reunion in New York! The event will take place Friday, November 13th, 2009 - its aim is to bring together alumni from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and its predecessor institutions as part of its mandate to reconnect with alumni outside of British Columbia, and to encourage alumni to connect with each other.
Alumni @ Continuum: Vision and Creativity on the Northwest Coast
Sonny Assu (02), John Brent Bennett (03) and Marianne Nicolson (91) are a part of Continuum: Vision and Creativity on the Northwest Coast, a major exhibition of emerging and mid-career Aboriginal artists from British Columbia, Washington State and Alaska.
A number of special programs are planned including artist dialogues, talks and special tours.

Stan Douglas: Klatsassin at Vancouver Art Gallery
Recent Honorary Doctorate recipient, Stan Douglas (82), exhibits his outstanding multi-media installation Stan Douglas: Klatsassin at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
This challenging exhibition brings together two major video and film-based installations, Klatsassin and Pursuit, Fear, Catastrophe: Ruskin, B.C., presenting the divergent histories of inhabitation and settlement in Canada's westernmost province.
