For many the appel of bicycle touring comes from the simplicity and independence of biking from one destination to the next. As cyclists tracel forward, constantly exploring new and unknown territory, they rely on a steady stream of information to find food, water, lodging and safe routes, all of which are vital to making a bike tour run smoothly. For many cyclists manu of these details are left uncertain due to the lack of specific information surrounding a route, town or region.
The goal of my grad project, entitled Roam, is to provide potential and experienced tourists with access to information to create the most successful route possible, therefore improving the overall tour experience.
Local Interactive Trails

Local Interactive Trails is a website and systems design that encourages users to create and share their own urban walking experiences. Once a route is uploaded on the LIT website, the creator puts up queues in the form of stickers for both directional instructions and observational instructions. The system encourages users to explore and share their findings without using a mobile device once outside. Local Interactive Trails empowers pedestrians to reclaim public space and share their findings with other urban explorers.
Type Weave

Typography is like fabric. It is the weaving in and out of various typefaces, weight, and spacing, to essentially form aesthetically pleasing and legible content, let it be display or body texts.
"Type Weave" is a self-directed project, which uses a metaphorical approach to help us understand the characteristics of some common typefaces. A type of fabric is juxtaposed with a typeface based on similar characteristics and attitude.

An exploration of type and light turned into an inquity of how light interacts with matter. There are many debates online whether light can be matter and the arguments from both sides on physics formums became the center of attention in this booklet. The work aims to bring a sense of inquiry into facts that might seem obvious by mixing in quotes by scientists attesting to the problems with unanswered questions in science discourse.
