PHOT 315: Dialogues with Photography

This third year level course for Photography Majors offers the opportunity for the students to develop their work within a critical overview of the medium of photography, both historically and in relation to contemporary art practices. Students will acquire a critical vocabulary for understanding their own trajectories and the theory and practice of photography through group critiques, discussions of pertinent writings, and individual presentations of research on a variety of subjects related to the medium.

Prerequisites: 

18 credits of 200 level studio and any 200 level PHOT, or FNDT-160, or FNDT-146
