The work is based on creating strong bonds with others around mental health, breaking down boundaries, and educating others on how mental health can affect everyone differently. It is an ever-expanding subject and is often hard to come to terms with.

Patrick Takata is a recent graduate of Emily Carr's Class of 2019. He focuses on building connections around mental health, then turning those connections into images and poems. He is currently taking applicants for his series Embedded in The Mind.
