When discussing tropes we can sometimes reinforce their structures while dissecting the binary aspects. considering constraints seeks to address this conundrum by breaking the binary with organic anomalies and a rotating loop of many faces without bodily intervention. Zandi Dandizette frames the conversation with the material relationship to childhood utilizing puzzle foam mats. This time period is the foundation of our life as we are given names and identities to order the chaos in our existence. The absurdity being that we’ve created unrealistic expectations within these constraints.

Zandi invites you to ascribe meaning and context to their body in a performance at the closing of the show on February 21 at 7pm. They will be wearing a blank canvas in which you may make marks over their entire being for an hour duration. They will continue to wear the created piece for the rest of the evening.
