As part of our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusivity, ECU is committed to providing funds to support creative activities and initiatives that dismantle systems of oppression.
These funds are designed to empower individuals and groups in the ECU community to enact change and participate in shaping the future of the institution.
In Fall 2020, we announced two funding opportunities reserved for BIPOC students:
- Anti-Racism Student Action and Response (ARSAR) Fund
- Community Enhancement Fund
The ECU Graduation Award for Anti-Racism and Social Justice was created in to celebrate students whose work in The Show explores or responds to anti-Black, anti-Indigenous, or anti-Asian discrimination and racism. It was awarded for the first time in Spring 2020 to four students. Learn more about our 2020 Grad Award winners here.
