Who doesn't love Wikipedia! Here's your chance to become a Wikipedia editor and make a difference. We invite people of all gender identities and expressions to come and work together to correct the gender imbalance of Wikipedia and create and edit articles to improve the coverage on feminism, gender and the arts.

Everyone is welcome to come and edit regardless of experience. We will walk you through the steps if you have never edited in Wikipedia. Research librarians will be available to help you find factual resources to support your articles.

Bring your laptop, power cord and ideas for entries, we provide the wifi and refreshments. We like to focus on local and especially ECU and Vancouver based *artists, designers, filmmakers* ... and have created a list of people that either need articles created or articles expanded. First timers often gain confidence and experience by editing an article before creating a new one or just hanging out and being a part of the supportive community.

*Art+Feminism began 7 years ago in 2014 when a group of concerned art librarians and art academics decided to change the landscape of Wikipedia and encouraged women of all types to become Wikipedia editors and add content that reflect women, feminist, indigenous, queer, trans, non-binary creatives. A 2011 survey found that less than 13% of Wikimedia contributors are female.

*The 2020 theme is Art+ Activism.
