Sheilah (Wilson) ReStack is an artist born in Caribou River, Nova Scotia and currently living in Columbus, Ohio with her wife and children. ReStack’s work is a feminist investigation into photographic images as one of the possible materials for imagining desire, motherhood and queer family into the world. ReStack also collaborates with Dani ReStack on works that investigate the domestic as a place of possibility – a portal for emotional logic, fragmentation and new narratives that allows the quotidian to inform the sublime. ReStack’s collaborative and solo work has shown at Iceberg Projects Chicago, Toronto International Film Festival, Images Film Festival, Leslie Lohman Project Space, GAA Wellfleet, New York Film Festival, Columbus Museum of Art, Camden Arts Center, London, Blue Building Gallery, Halifax, Enjoy Gallery, New Zealand and others.
