Express yourself, your history and your connection to the land through storyboarding in this hands-on workshop, led by Haida artist SGid Gang.Xaal, Shoshannah Greene.

Shoshannah’s animation piece, Yahguudang—Respect, is currently featured at MOA, and is an example of contemporary artistic expression rooted in, and inspired by, ancestral ways of knowing. Learn firsthand about Shoshannah’s artistic practice and gain new skills in visually telling stories.

The workshop is inspired by contemporary works in two current exhibitions at MOA: Culture at the Centre and Arts of Resistance: Politics and the Past in Latin America. Workshop participants will receive special exhibition tours.

No experience required; just a willingness to draw, paint and tell a story. Suitable for participants in high school and older.
