Learn Cutting-Edge Creative Wood Design with Emily Carr
The Emily Carr Centre for Design Innovation and Entrepreneurship is an exciting new development in the state-of-the-art Wood Innovation and Design Centre (WIDC) in Prince George, showcasing BC’s expertise as a global leader in wood construction, products and design solutions. If you are interested in studying to become a leading artist or designer in the wood design field, this hub of innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and research is the place for you. Original programs are currently under development to be offered at the new centre by fall 2016. Working with University of Northern BC (UNBC), we have created a lasting partnership offering complimentary academic and community programming within WIDC. In addition, Emily Carr’s Aboriginal Gathering Place will play an important role in creating programming offered at WIDC. Art practices and teaching with traditional and contemporary Aboriginal materials and techniques will be a core element in the programs offered at Emily Carr’s campus in Northern BC.
We welcome your input into the type of programming that you feel would be most relevant to you and your community. You can provide us with your feedback at the open house or contact us at www.ecuad.ca/CDIE.
