Climate Action! Action! Action! | Climate Cut

“Climate Action! Action! Action!” is a project organized by students at Emily Carr meant to engage our local community in response to the current global climate crisis. The three initiatives that make up the project–a letter writing workshop, a materiality meal, and a climate cut–allow the public to participate in tangible change, as we investigate how decisions to protect and preserve the planet are made at an institutional and governmental level. In the culminating event happening on Aug. 30, we are offering “climate cuts” to collect hair donations for Matter Of Trust, an initiative based in San Francisco already in motion to pull harmful oil out of our west coast waters.
