Bryce (BDes 2017) talks about his passions as a toy designer, and the trajectory of his career from Emily Carr to Design School Kolding, The LEGO Group, a startup in Copenhagen and more.

After his BDes from Emily Carr in 2016, Bryce Duyvewaardt enrolled at Designskolen Kolding, specializing in PLAY. He quickly became a designer at Lego Group. He worked as a Concept Model Designer for LEGO VIDIYO, and Concept Model Designer for Lego themes that have not yet released. Following this, he worked as a designer on Woodstein's modular building system, where parts could be remixed together over and over. There, he designed the Periscope, Automaton (walking machine) and Vortex Cannon. He handled the project management for each to ensure the concepts, prototypes, testing, sourcing and more came together and completed on time.
