As the Chief Sustainability Officer for Humanscale, Jane Abernethy develops the strategic vision for sustainability and has taken the ambitious goal of having a Net Positive impact. Jane works to implement this vision by guiding the R&D effort to create the most sustainable products possible, and by working with the manufacturing facilities to instill sustainability as a fundamental way of operating. Under her leadership, Humanscale has been recognized as the first manufacturer to achieve the complete Living Product Challenge, offer climate positive products, and become a certified B Corporation. Jane's research is ongoing as she recently embarked on a Master's in Biomimicry.
