Emily Carr Chorus is a community choir that welcomes students, faculty, staff, and alumni to come together and sing in harmony.

Emily Carr Chorus is led by Sharon Bayly, a singer / song leader and shop technician in the 4th floor Stretchers + Surfaces wood shop at Emily Carr.

Sharon has sung in choirs since she was young and has worked as a songleader with various community choirs since 2017: Local Vocals (dir. Anna Baignoche) / Accapellaboratory (dir. Patti Powell) / Rhythm’n’Roots (dir. Karla Mundy). Sharon initiated Singing in the Stairwell at Emily Carr in 2018 and then joined forces with Jane Slemon and Joy Onj in 2022 to co-lead Emily Sings in the Stairwell. She initiated Emily Carr Chorus last fall and is excited to keep it going this term with the hopes it may lift up our voices and our spirits!
