Join us this Friday at Emily Carr University's as The Co Lab presents Dr. Ken Perlin speaking on the topic of Future Reality.

Dr. Perlin’s presentation will begin at 5:30pm and will explore the emerging renaissance of virtual and augmented reality -- how it will change how we converse, play, and interact with our world.

Emily Carr University of Art + Design and NYU are part of the newly formed Consortium for Future Reality, that focuses on embodied interaction in mixed reality environments. The Consortium brings academic institutions and companies together for discussion, creative exploration, and collaborative research into software and hardware for embodied, networked, mixed reality experiences. Co Lab is pleased to be hosting this talk which comes at a moment where Vancouver is poised to become a leader in content creation for virtual and mixed reality.

Dr. Ken Perlin is a Professor & Researcher at NYU Media Research Lab, where he focuses his research on computer graphics, animation, augmented and mixed reality, user interfaces, science education, and multimedia. This event is co-sponsored by Emily Carr University for Art + Design and the Centre for Digital Media.
