For All is For Yourself | Dr. Cameron Cartiere

At the Kelowna Art Gallery through October 6, 2016
For All is For Yourself is an exhibition organized by a public art initiative called Border Free Bees which includes the installation of over 10,000 paper bees cut out of hand-made seed paper at the Kelowna Art Gallery.
Headed by Dr. Cameron Cartiere,
Associate Professor at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and Dr.
Nancy Holmes, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Creative and
Critical Studies at UBCO, The project is intended to raise awareness of
the plight of wild pollinators, to empower
communities to actively engage in solutions for habitat loss, and to create
urban spaces as viable pollinator pastures.

Join Dr. Cartiere for an Artist's Talk, Friday, July 8 from 7-8:30pm.
Cameron Cartiere and the chART collective’s For All Is For Yourself explores ways of increasing sustainable habitat for bees. Cameron will talk about the development of the current installation, as well as the Richmond and Kelowna Bee Pastures, and how these can contribute to helping our wild bee populations.
