This is the first in what we hope will be a series of small, informal, gardening-related gatherings at the ECU Library!

After starting the ECU Seed Swap last year, we are making space to connect and share knowledge with community members who have been participating, as well as with those who are new to growing things. We will be sprouting some seeds in a corner of the Library, and want to make room for those who want to learn more about gardening but may not have access to outdoor space or materials.

WHO?
Those from the ECU community who want to know more about gardening and those who have gardening knowledge to share. Anyone who is interested in planting seeds, or taking seeds or propagating plants at home. Folks who want to chat about and show off photos of their plants at home!

WHAT?
We will be talking about all things plants, seeds, dirt, and gardening! We will be planting seeds to sprout in the Library and for community members who wish to take them home. We have 11 different types of seeds at the moment - mostly pollinators and vegetables! We also have propagated some of our own Library plants, which will be available for community members to take home or to their studios or offices. This is intended to be a really casual get together, sharing collective knowledge and meeting each other! The Library will also provide soil, space and reused containers for you to take home, while supplies last.

WHEN?
This Garden Party will be on Wednesday, April 13th from 12pm-1pm. We hope that this will be the first of many meetups - we will be making event pages for any subsequent meeting times.

WHERE?
In the East corner of the lower floor of the Library, accessible by stairs or the elevator.

HOW?
You don’t need to be a gardening expert to attend this party. Drop by for a bit of plant chat, and leave with some seeds and soil. Be prepared to get your hands dirty!
