(im)possibilities: connection through separation | ECU Summer Teens 2020 Exhibition
This year’s exhibition celebrates the extraordinary.
At the time the Summer Institute for Teens (SIT) and Junior Art Intensive (JAI) started in July, these students had already spent three months doing online learning. And yet, they decided to continue expanding their skills and their understanding of art through online summer programs.
This exceptional group of talented young artists have demonstrated remarkable resilience, passion and determination throughout the duration of their programs, successfully completing up to four weeks of intensive studio work from their homes. Despite being located in different countries and time zones, they still managed to develop meaningful connections with instructors and their peers.
I could not be prouder of the outstanding work they have produced in such challenging conditions and short period of time.
Congratulations, SIT and JAI classes of 2020!
